As Scituate, Massachusetts is located on the coast, beaches are a popular attraction and a must visit while in Scituate. Beach Situate Harbor is a perfect destination for both locals and visitors. Some beaches near Scituate Harbor include Egypt, Humarock, Minot, Peggotty, and Sand Hills. These Scituate Harbor beaches are open to the public all year long and have lifeguards on duty. To park in a beach parking lot, one must have a Beach Sticker. There are only a small number of stickers for non-residents each summer. Some nonresidents find it easier to bike to Scituate Harbor beaches as parking violators are fined.

Egypt Beach is a beach in Scituate Harbor, MA and only 15 minutes from Nantasket Beach. It is popular for surfing.

Sand Hills and Pegotty beaches are the two closest to the harbor, being only a 10 to 15 minute walk and even less on a bike. Pegotty beach is a pretty popular beach Situate Harbor and many people can enjoy the whole day here.

A nearby beach is Nantaskey Beach in the town of Hull. It is one of the busiest beaches in Greater Boston. This is a 3.5 mile long beach with parking lots for a small price, lifeguards, public bathrooms, changing rooms, and showers. Nearby the beach you can find restaurants, arcades, ice cream shops, food stands, a carousel, and many stores. It is one of the most popular beaches and considered one of the best on the South Shore.

All of the shops and restaurants in Scituate are within walking distance. However, the beaches are a little bit farther of a walk. Be prepared to walk, or ride your bike for a faster trip. Many recommend riding with friends as the parking pass is needed and parking is limited.
